Pages in Incoherent Babbling

I don't even understand why people bother wasting their time in IB. Nothing of real discussion happens there in the first place. And all I see are the same garbage, time-sink threads that people incessantly bring up to the top that has anything but intelligent posts.

People should really lower down the activity in IB, other threads in the special interest and hobbies needs more attention.

While I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment, I also find gambler's concerns about it seeping into other parts of the board quite thought-provoking and not too far-fetched. Although rigorous moderation might take care of that.

Better to have all the crap in one place instead of all over the forum

That's why IB is still there (I'm not proposing to get rid of it), for the crap and the lulz. The main part of the forum is still there, and hopefully instead of searching through pages of threads through a trial and error basis, people will give up and post decently in real threads in real sections.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the two IB page rule is an awesome idea.

While I hate any mention of 4chan within the vicinity of this site, I'd have to agree that something like that would be an interesting way of handling IB.

Agreed with the above. How many people honestly go further back than 10 pages, if that?
And for those who do, how many will really care for longer than the moment they notice they no longer can?

I disagree. All the threads in the Incoherent Babblings section make up part of Fakku's history, regardless of content (aka worthy or worthless). Of course, we must also consider the extent to which the older threads consume a significant amount of resources on Fakku's servers. If so, then perhaps some of them should go.

However, my opinions may be biased, especially since I have bumped my "Shinobu's birthday thread" for 3 consecutive years on 15 November. :)
