-Why did he lock topics that can have infinite answers to the OP?
-Why did he lock his own thread?
-Why did he lock topics that has no definite answer?

Yes, as you can see it has a high potential to be a spam fest.

It's either move it to IB or locked. All other threads that has the same "theme" was either locked or moved to IB or chatting thread.

that's pretty dumb why have a food and cooking section if you can't post normal threads about food or cooking

Unless you want to give them tips about cooking.

Yes, pretty much that section was made because our ex-admin Nikon was a chef, so that we can consult and ask for advise about cooking (active discussion).

Treads like "Name your favorite xxx" or "what you eat today" thread are the ones that aren't allowed, because it's been proven to be a spam fest.

Much like "what music did you hear today" anything spam-potential and without a "active" discussion, will be locked or moved to the chat thread.

In the past the "What food did you eat today" was as spamable as the posts in meet and greet. Wher epeople would just post an answer without discussing anything. It got moved to the Chat thread If I recall it right. Same goes to the "what music did you hear today" thread
