I can't seem to change my avatar or even delete it. I also can't seem to get certain settings to save the way I want them to. Can someone help me out?

What you have to do is, go to upload pic (anything but a gif), and select the picture you want.On the cropping stage press refresh before you crop. After you crop go to your profile and press refresh again, and the picture should change.

Also, fakku went through maintenance last month so a few things are still buggy like that. It'll get fixed...eventually lol
