Problems joining with Firefox

So, was trying to join the Fakku! community some days ago, and signed up with the Mozilla Firefox web browser with correct email and everything was go.
Waited a couple of days to get confirmation email from Fakku but nothing happened and still haven't received one. Nothing in junkmail either.
So, I decided to try my luck again, this time with another e-mail address still with Firefox. Waited a few days but didn't get the confirmation email this time either - yet everything was clear when I joined. Nothing in junkmail this time either.
As the saying goes "third time's a charm" - I tried a third time, but this time with Internet Explorer and not minutes later, I get a popup that I have a new mail. And behold, the confirmation email.
So, I was wondering if this has something to do with trying to join with the Firefox web browser or if it's just coincidence?

I just created an account using firefox and I got an e-mail in less than 10 seconds. You should try updating firefox to the most recent one, or maybe there's something in your settings that's fucking it up.

Hmm... that might be the prob - was some time since I updated firefox =p

It's really weird, my guess it's that was just a coincidence.
If the server doesn't receive a valid e-mail address it just doesn't have to let you continue with the registration process so it shouldn't have been the case if you didn't get any errors while registering with firefox.
What version of FF were you using? And Internet Explorer?
