Quick Contact like: Aim, MSN, Yahoo Icon [Read]

I was thinking of why not put up an icon of each: Aim, MSN, Yahoo, etc. Under a member's Avatar, only if they have saved their screen names/e-mail address on a certain messenger in their profile. That way when a member wishes to contact another member VIA on a messenger, they can just click on the messenger's icon of their choice, making a pop-up appear with the member's screen name/e-mail address that they have just clicked on. Here is a screen shot of an example:

Gotta be honest, wouldn't use that. I don't want weirdos sending me random messages. If someone needs my msn they can just ask me.

Does not have to appear, it can be optional.

I know exactly what you are talking about since the other forums which I frequent have such a feature too. Like what you have mentioned, the input of personal instant messaging handles can be optional.

These icons are indeed handy to have. Then again, some may argue that they are not entirely necessary.

If they don't take a lot of effort, then why the hell not? But if it involves even a little bit of hard work, it's not worth it. After all, you can just ask a person what they're AIM or Yahoo thing is.

But I'm not the best person to talk about this, since I don't use any instant messengers.

Yes, it can be optional for them if they wish to have those icons of a certain messenger under their avatar, but then again, if its not too much work, go ahead.

Also i have another suggestion, i do not wish to post up a new topic about it so it wont take up space on the thread, well anyways here it is: Why not create another quote button next to the "quote" button? I'm typing about "Multi-Quoting" for those who wish to reply more than one post at a time, rather than just replying one at a time. In my opinion, it will be a much more helpful feature, but then again you guys are the boss so you decide if you wish to add in these new features.

As for the icons subject Shaggy nailed my opinion on it. On the subject of a multi quote button that has been brought up in the past I believe. You can multi quote manually by opening up a new tab or window and using copy and paste to quote each individual you wish to. We just may be so use to it here on Fakku that newer members may see it as a inconvenience but it's just normal to us.

Yes, i know, i do that too. But its my suggestion so it can be much more helpful and faster.
