Because it discourages most from spamming? lol it's not exactly what I would call a neccessity, it's really for lazy people who have gotten used to it. There are other things that can be worked on... like automerging posts if double posts are made.

Well your prayers have been answered. I added a very basic quick reply to the bottom of the last page of any topic you view. It will only display if you are logged in and on the last page of the topic.


If I decide to keep it around I will make an on/off button in your user profiles.

I'm sorry to say I used it and already hate it. It has only been up for about 5 minutes and I think it will cause many spamming problems, but that’s just me keep it or don't I will not use it from now on.

All I ask is that you notify us when the on/off button is up (if it stays).

Agreed. I will certainly disable it if it does manage to stay, but that's just me being picky.

This post is a quick reply and I am liking it very much. Besides, spammers will spam whether or not there is a quick reply option. The rest of the community shouldn't be punished for the irresponsible behavior of a few. Thanks alot Jacob, I think it is awesome.

Well at first i had no idea what the quick reply was supposed to do, all it showed me was this:

A preview-button, a post-button, and nothing else.

After i had been sitting there looking like a dumbfounded ass for like 5 minutes, while clicking that thing up and down all the time lol, i finally found it as i was gonna leave the thread

Nope, Firefox, latest version.

That is odd, because I just tried firefox, latest revision on both mac and w32 and for me the box shows up just fine.

Got any extensions running? I know it's tedious, but try disabling them one by one and seeing what happens, so the cause can be isolated.

Don't have any extensions at all running with FF.
Im gonna try fixing my cookies and cache later and see if it makes a diffrence, can't be arsed atm, too many other things to do.

Yeah it's probably the CSS file being cached in your browser. Clear the cache and let me know if the problem remains.

Quick, simple, and efficient. I doubt this will encourage spamming.

It takes almost as much effort to click the Quick Reply button as the Post Reply. I just like not having to leave the screen I'm on.

It doesn't seem to effect me. I rarely use the Quick Reply feature when it's enabled.

It works now, i didn't even have to do anything, it just started working by itself lol.

Anyways, quick reply is awesome, thnx for this.

Hmm, it seems that when one is using the quick reply your signature isn't showing up.
