2 very quick things, one! the report button is in an akward location with it being directly below the qoute button. and TWO! im verrryy very very very very really sorry to Ichiban for accidently hitting the wrong button. really truely utterly sorry

There's no need to worry.

Clicking the report button only leads the "write the reason" page.
All reports are viewed thoroughly. Accidental reports is accidental, users don't get any penalty if his/her thread got reported.

for placement, any suggestions?

Maybe place it at the bottom of/below the post content, in the same er, vertical column as the quote button?

Also, there is always the back button on your browser if you accidentaly hit report.

I actually like where the report button is at. If it's anywhere else it'll look a bit weird.
