Lol, obviously no. Otherwise there wouldn't be threads from '07 still there. I try to help out whenever I can to clean out the old threads in the request section.

Hmmm while the idea of a request section cleanup is dumb, I don't think it deserves -rep.
I suppose I now have to explain why it's dumb. *sigh*
If you delete a request for something, someone will probably then have to make a new request for that same thing. Sometimes you might not even have the people around who provided it originally still around anymore and end up unable to fulfill the request a second time. Even if the request hasn't been answered, there'd still be a thread for someone else who was interested in that thing to say so. If the threads never disappear it makes it easier on whoever keeps the list of request threads as instead of having to add and delete things from the list they just have to add. Also this helps prevent the "why have I seen this same thread topic a million times?" problem.
