Revive a dead thread or make a new one?

Example: The first episode of 'Kodomo no Jikan: 2nd Term' is out, but the thread concerning it is about the preview video, and the thread is also LONG dead.
So would I: Post in it, reviving an extremely dead thread that people would have to search through, or just make a new thread entirely about the video/info I wanted to give?

If you want to talk about a specific Episode, feel free to open a thread in the Episode Section:
https://www.fakku.net/viewforum.php?f=76
If you want to talk about the Anime in General:
https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=4632
Maybe the thread is a little bit older, but i don`t really see a reason why you should open a new one.

Crap, I just made a HUGE post and I don't think posting torrent links are allowed. >_< I forgot.
... Or ARE links allowed? I've never posted one here before ... Don't THINK I have, anyway.

I believe Lord_Helmchen has answered the questions asked in the opening post. First off, I believe the original thread starter should be given credit for his/her thread, not only for creativity, but also that of seizing the opportunity at the right moment. Members can show their appreciation by posting in the original thread, though these replies should be related to the topic.
Secondly, the search function is there for a reason. Not only does it help one search for hentai downloads, it allows one to check if similar topics have already been created.
I don't mind members bumping extremely old threads (even I do so from time to time), but the newest post should be related to the original theme, and not as a means of raising one's post count aka spam.

I am not too sure about Fakku's policy concerning torrent links, especially that of anime. You will have to direct your question to the Admins.

Torrent links are fine, in fact there should be a User Uploads section for torrents. But don't let that stop you from posting them outside of the User Upload forum.

Seems like all queries have been answered.
I'd like to have something to say about this as well, since I'm very much concerned with the specific Anime section.
Please feel free to post, discuss, or say whatever you want with relation to a series that you either are watching or you like. I'd like to encourage users such as yourself to be more active on that side of the forums. As you can see, there is merely a number of people like myself who often post there and it's quite depressing, that not even half of the regular users here, care at all. :(
Seriously, with your help, we can liven up that particular section even for just a little more. Just keep in mind what the others have already said before me. You don't necessarily have to create a new topic for a series that already has an existing thread. Make a post there instead, even if it's a year old. About torrents, the MAN had said it, it's alright to post and provide torrent links for other users, and that's what I usually do. 8)
