[Locked] Role of Moderators on Fakku

Never did I once say I wasn't doing it to enjoy it, you point doesn't make sense. The point of prolonging the topic was because I enjoyed myself, and the user requested it stay open. I don't agree with you that it degrades these board, IB is made for that reason. You keep saying that others wont join and I keep repeating that if they choose not to join because of what they saw then I believe we are better off; Fakku doesn't need children who cant deal with harsh words or reality. You are right, I could have stopped all of this, but I didn't want to because I enjoyed it and I don't agree with you, why do you keep repeating yourself? It's all down to what I think is over the line, at this point your opinion about what makes a good mod/forums wont change what I think makes a good mod/forum, so we could call this a "moot" point.

Until the day you become a moderator/admin on fakku and have more input on my actions you will continue to watch me act as I see fit. I'm not ignoring your points I simply don't think you're right.

You had insults down pretty well... perhaps ticketed for baiting and other abusive behavior. You realize that as a Moderator people will view you differently? Forget I asked, I'm sure you realize that. If a moderator comes by and dubs your thread "shitty" then you automatically are ready to fight against the entire forum - Mods are representations of the forum, especially to new users.

While calling a thread "shitty" was not the best action, GF went overboard in his "attack." He acted like Waar had just told him he had sodomized his mother, it was a overreaction to say the least. I agree that the thread should have been locked earlier, but that doesn't change the fact that Fakku is far better off without users of that caliber.

What? he wasn't defending his post, he was defending himself, as if the comment about his thread was a judgment of him as a user/person. If someone cant differentiate between those two then they need to take a step away from the internet. Also, do you really believe that is a real rule on fakku? Has anyone ever been banned for calling another user stupid?

We don't if that user is gone for good yet, but agreed for the most part. However, this isn't a thread about "Role of Users on Fakku" so I didn't address so much. The user was the bigger problem, we are discussing the other issue though. Though it agree that it is important to note the user's actions.

Who is talking about bans? And just because people don't get banned for things doesn't mean that it is or isn't a rule. Bans do not dictate rules - people have been banned for things not in the rules. But that it is in the rules isn't even the main reason I disagree that insulting and antagonizing a user (which it is important to note was done as a multiuser effort that include two mods). I already said I believe that it degrades forum quality - something you said you disagree about.

right, but you stated I broke rules and I am saying it's never been a rule since the inception of this website. Regardless of the severity of punishments, calling someone names has never earned any form of punishment or reprimand.

As if it took much effort to antagonize the fellow. Also, two mods? I don't remember doing very much "insulting and antagonizing", if at all.

If anything, as waar has argued, the perpetration of this incident was due mostly in part to the user's attitude and actions - he starts off by derepping waar for telling him his thread was useless. And then, accusing me of lying. Excuse me if I don't take your white knight crusade to heart.

Cause that would be really lame if it did. I'm just of the opinion that a moderator should only take it so far - at least not be the main antagonist.

Unbelievably childish. Maybe that's just the world today.

I don't expect much from fakku, but I at least expected better from Tegumi and Waar. I cannot come to recall why I would even thought that in the first place.

I must agree with this statement. Both tegumi and waar are pretty terrible but I guess we have to deal with it.

Edit: I guess saying "terrible" is a bit too far for Waar but I do disagree with tegumi's methods alot.
