So yeah I can't get the [ align] [/align ] to work in my signature. I end up getting [ align] at the beginning of the sig and no change.

That's because you have to say what align you want.

[align="x"]
where x can be left, right, or center.

then add [/align ] at the end without a space after n.

Or just use <"center"> <"/center"> w/o the quotations...
