Small issue

Could you fix the "No double posting" auto feature whenever someone tries to post after they have already posted? Not stopping double posting itself, just when it redirects you to your post. Would save me plenty-o-time and less hassle.

You mean so you can use the quote feature so you can copy and paste it?

I haven't used Fakku much, but can you explain the feature in more detail? Should it just append the new post to the previous one, like an auto-merge on double post? If it's that, I can rig something up I think.

All we're really wanting is the ability to quote someone, so we can copy and paste what they wrote into the post we already made.

As it stands right now. If you are the last post, you can't quote someone to do this.

So we're just wanting the feature to stop it when you try to actually post it.

And add script that when you replay, and your post was last before you replay, it auto-merge it :)

Is the script for that even really necessary? Was the good-faith measure not working? I rarely ran into that many people creating multiple posts one after another. This is much more annoying than it is helpful.

This would work just as effectively since it is sort of what people are doing already. I believe most members would post, then see something someone else posted while they were typing. They would then want to quote that post and edit it into their own post. The user would hit "quote" copy the text, then go back to edit their last post and paste the copied text into that post.

Auto-merge would achieve the same effect I would think. Currently, trying to quote someone when you have the last post in a thread would lead you to a page where you suggested to edit your last post. However, this prevents users from doing what they wanted in the first place - to copy a quotation.

I think that sums it up unless anyone else has something to add.

I'd like to point out a similar problem regarding posting. After you write a post, when you click the button to post reply, that button will turn grey as the next page is loaded. Problem is, if there's something you want to correct on your post, you can't just backspace back into the posting page and correct it, as you used to be able to, because that post reply button will still be gray and unclickable. So you have to go to your own post and click the edit button in order to change whatever you want to change in your post.

I've found this a bit bothersome.
