Special Interest section about "animals and pets"

So, lately with such threads like TMS's "My cat is giving birth" and "What are your pets names", I thought there should be a sub section just for Animals & pets.
A lot of us love animals and I bet this section would be very active.

And it's better than having such threads lying around in random or IB, don't you guys think?

So, anyone against this idea?

Now seriously. No one suggested it besides me I think, but the feedback from those threads seemed pretty good. That's why I suggested. Anyways, at least I tried.

I've only counted give or take 3-5 threads. Not much to work with. In any case, wait for other members to give their feedback before giving up.

I think it'd be cool, but I don't think many people would post in it. Unless every person made a thread to talk about their pets, the section would be dead, right? I highly doubt anyone on Fakku would want a thread about which cat litter works best or what dog toy is the best to get.

I think it'd be a waste of space too. There isn't the demand for it. There are only a few topics pertaining to it, and I don't see it likely that it will increase any time soon.

How about a section for daily life/ get to know your fellow fakku user more (an area to post a blog or sort of like social network section?) where you can post pictures of your cats, room, yourself, cars, and etc. I know it's far fetched but I wonder if anyone else would like that? I know some don't like to expose their real life but others would like to.

Was it? Now if he'd said post your credit card details etc, that would have been sarcastic. I see no problem with cars, pets, room etc; they have all been done, but in topics all over the place. I don't see what is wrong with hundreds of existing social networking and blog sites, though.

It wouldn't be terribly difficult to enable a blog feature on the site for each individual members. That way anyone who is curious can look at a member's blog without having to wade through a useless forum.

Actually the blog feature would be really cool, and pretty simple to implemented overall, might take a few days of tweaking to get it all working error-free..but yea.

I don't think the section would get much love from the community, not a bad Idea just doesn’t seem to have too much demand for a section like that.

What do you think about member blogs though?

I think you should make a new topic to propose this idea, would get more attention and probably have a better chance at seeing how people feel about it.

I wasn't criticizing you Kuroneko, I was just building up on your proposal. I'm sorry if it sounded that way, I don't mind posting a few pictures of my dog ^__^. Seriously I'm not being mean =___=.
