Sure I'll support it too, I don't really play much sports or watch, but the occasional football game or basketball game might come up and I'll have to talk about it with someone lol. Come to think of it when the World Cup starts for soccer I'd like to hear what you guys think about it.

I follow English Premier League and Champions League more so the World Cup games. Sure, I will cheer for the States when the time arrives, but I can't expect them to win it or anything. 8)

With the players that Barca have injured, United will most likely win. I'll still say 2-1, it should be tight. Ferdinand is a bit of a worry though, not so much for the skill as Evans is very capable, but for the cohesion he brings.
Lifelong Man Utd supporter, btw. :P

It's too bad Canada decided to suck in the WC qualifiers... again. Maybe next time.
Also, lol newcastle. Hopefully they enjoy the championship.

Some advice:
If a Sports section is added, there should be a sticky called "Soccer or Football?" that explains that the sport is called different things in different places and that there is no reason to bitch about what it's called, as long as everybody understands what is being discussed.
I don't think it'd be a big thing on Fakku, but people tend to get heated on that subject. It's crazy, but god, if you want to troll someone, tell them that they're using the wrong name for soccer/football.

QFE - "Football is the word given to a number of similar team sports, all of which involve (to varying degrees) kicking a ball with the foot in an attempt to score a goal. The most popular of these sports worldwide is association football, more commonly known as just "football" or "soccer". The English language word "football" is also applied to "gridiron football" (a name associated with the North American sports, especially American football and Canadian football), Australian football, Gaelic football, rugby football (rugby league and rugby union), and related games. Each of these codes (specific sets of rules, or the games defined by them) is referred to as "football"." (wiki)
I'll admit to having participated in such an argument, though. :P
