Suggestion: Searches

I think it would be awesome if there was forum-specific search boxes in each individual forum and when you clicked it it would by default select that forum to be searched in. Currently, if you want to search you have to back out to the main forum page and conduct your search there. What do you guys think?

I second this. I can't tell you how many times search failed me while searching for something I know is in *insert sub-forum here*.

You can find that place by either typing in what you see in the address bar of the picture or click the word "Advanced" that's next to the normal search that people use on the main forum page.

Yeah I was just about to post that, don't really know how anyone could miss that?

I guess I better reiterate what I said...

For example, you go to the specific manga series forum and want to search for a specific manga. To do that you either have to flip through it manually, look in the sticky post and hope its been updated with that manga, or back up to the front page and use the advanced search there. I just thought it would be nice to have a search box on that forum page so you wouldn't have to back up to the main page to search. And in this search box it would search whatever forum you are in by default.

I just see that as a minor convenience for lazy people. Even if Jacob agreed with this, I would hope for this to be low priority stuff.

Yeah it seems like a somewhat useful thing, but at the same time why can’t you just go to the front page an click on the advanced search, is it that much of an inconvenience? Once again I share Rbz’s opinion and say that Jacob has more important things to work on then a minor inconvenience like this.
