The rep system...

...Is awesome. But just today, I accidentally -repped someone instead of + repping that person. Now I will have to wait another day to +rep that person to 'undo' the 'damage' and THEN +rep that perosn for the post they made, what I am asking is this:
Is there a way to make it so that you have to confirm the + or - rep you give someone, or is it possible to have an 'undo' button to undo a + or - rep you gave in the last 5 minutes or so? I am pretty sure this is a problem some of us have experienced before.
My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I didn't see anything like this in the 'TO DO' list or the known bugs/declined ideas/pending topic.

As far as I know, there's no way to confirm before you give rep to someone or even undo the rep; you just click the -/+ button and then, the -/+rep given.
The ones we have atm is rep log in our profile page, so we know when and where we got -/+rep. Accident like that often happen, so I think confirmation before giving a rep could be helpful to prevent that, nice idea I'd say.

That would be a pain in the butthole. And it could make for some internet drama imo.
I think it's fine the way it is. You have to be more careful next time.

The confirmation seems like a good idea, as I have also neg-repped several people on accident. However, the best thing to do for now is to be careful.

I have done this before too and think it could be a good idea for a conformation though I will stand at a firm no for the "undo" option. When I do this I pm the person explaining that it was a mistake and will fix it, I feel that's the only thing to do right now.

Well while a confirmation thing might be nice for some, it might be annoying for others (as really most of us rarely accidentally hit the wrong one as far as I know) so if it does get implemented it would be nice if it's on of those things we can turn off. Also I agree about the undo option being bad.
Honestly though it's fine if nothing is done at all because I doubt most of us even use our +/-rep every day anyway. Most days I don't see anything I think deserves rep either way so if I make a mistake one day it won't really be a big deal to need to fix it the next. If someone says something else I feel needs rep the next day I'll just make a note to give them rep or fix the wrongly given rep later.

I actually like the idea of a confirmation before giving/taking reputation. I'll see what I can do.

The reputation system is obviously flawed. I posted in reaction to a guy who did gay bashing and gave him - rep and now he counterattacked by giving me - rep too. So I gave him - rep again and we gonna finish both to - XX in a few days.
If I didn't say anything and just gave him - rep nobody had reacted to what he said but I could gave him negative karma without any chance of reprisals (hurray for the strategy of terror).
I understood the problem, I could do better by not reacting and reporting it but now it's too late...
So negative karma is pain in the ass, only positive karma would be fair and reporting wrong post would do the job of negative karma.
By the way I didn't found how we delete account.
