Hey everyone
I have been coming to this sight for about a year now and I greatly like the sight. Having said this I was wondering when the images section would be finished. I am tired of having go to the Nosebleed forum page to see any hentai pictures.
I'm just saying Fakku has been tempting us with the idea of an organized image area but we haven't gotten it. I'd just feel better if they gave a deadline to look forward to.
This is just my opinion.

As far as I can see, the image section is not coming back/going back to the way it used to be. Been more than a year since it's been gone, close to two years. Personally I removed the "Images" tab, by editing a personal HTML file and changed it to say "Nosebleed (formerly images)".
I joined fakku (once the image section was gone), under the impression that maybe members might have access to some sort of an image section, but that wasn't the case. Now we have the nosebleed section, which isn't as great as the image section was (truth.. yet opinion... be told), but you get used to it after a while.
So yeah, you will probably have to learn to deal with not having an image section on Fakku or wait till it's back (though that might be never). Alternatively, you can find another site. I won't link to any, but the "booru"s tend to be pretty good for finding images.

Smooth image section?
honestly fakku just needs a bigger server since the traffic's here have always been horrible so opening the image section will make the forum lags like hell

A) Not written in PHP and thus needs a lot of code to integrate it with the existing site (which is based off phpBB and kind of a mess)
and/or
B) Slow as fuck.
There are plans to rectify this, but it basically entails rolling our own custom booru software. Currently, we've been making a lot of architectural changes to make the site faster and more easily maintained. Once those are done I think Jacob's roadmap takes us to the image stuff. Though I think I'm going to hijack in a mobile version of the site before that.

There are other things to work on, such as a tag system for manga. Plus, there are already sites out there that focus on pictures, and they do a hell of a good job. Gelbooru.com, for example, is what I use whenever I want pictures, and it always gets the job done. In fact, I'm pretty sure that if the image section did come back, I wouldn't ever use it, because it wouldn't be as organized or thorough or big as gelbooru. That's not a slight against anyone; it's just how I feel. Going from nothing and trying to compare to sites that have existed for years would be a hell of a hard job, at least when it comes to images.
