I am just trying to test the reupload think.
So if anyone would be so kind an report the links, so I can reupload the file.

It'd be bad if the one deleted was an important message.

How about a spam box that PMs go to by default, and only users in your list of "approved" users PMs go to your main inbox, something like letting the users create allowed, and ignored lists and it stores it in the database with the user_id of those users, then on the inbox it only pulls the allowed list into your inbox, whereas the rest fill up the sub inbox.

Though, that is if that even happens, honestly I don't think the flash idea is a good one, you have to understand flash is open source, if they can download the flash file, they can decompile it and find the password.

It only takes one person to do that to spread that password around, it's also extra work that is completely unnecessary, if other users wanted to protect their uploads as well, they would have to learn how to write flash and compile it, then upload it just to embed it into a post.

If you REALLY wanna password protect your downloads, why not just put a notepad with all your download links in a password protected archive, that's something anybody can do so it doesn't take any tech savyness.

However I don't like that idea either, but it's a more feasible solution, personally I think denying access to anyone is a pain, and once more you deciding who gets the password or not is fine since it's your uploads, but that's a lot of people, and you can't trust everyone. Someone will spill the link then you have to change the password and re-upload.

It's kind of a no win situation... but ohwell It's nice to see you're taking initiative and trying to secure them.

As for flash, the only truly secure way to use it is to have an external database that flash only posts the login to, and the only thing you return to flash is a "true or false" so it knows if the login is correct or not, you can't keep any connections or authentication within the flash itself.

According to my lecturers and notes during the pursue of my business degree, all organisations should not rest on their laurels. Instead they must constantly innovate and improve, so that they can remain competitive. I believe the same concept applies to hentai sites; there is always room for improvement. However, it is a shame when users are place more emphasis on hentai than anything else.

Although I don't quite get what you mean, I would assume you are talking about obtaining another server? There may be a significant increase in costs.

What if you create your flash thing, give out links to that, and in the flash thing, have the download links (hidden.... somehow)....
maybe that wouldn't work out....

but, my point, is there a way to give a link,to links that download without directly visiting the source site?

Since this has been bumped, I might as well say something:

My links for Wife with Wife are still up. That is, the links from when I uploaded it for the second time are still up. That is, the links where the episodes are in winrar archives and called "stuff1" and "stuff2" instead of "Wife with Wife 1" and "Wife and Wife 2" are still up.

I think not including the name of the hentai in the filename and the links not being reported are related. It could be a coincidence, but why not upload stuff with changed names, in case it works?

That may at least get rid of the rapidshare search engine reporters.

My theory is, if it doesn't have a title, then Megarotic can't just delete it because someone says it's bad. Normally, if someone reports a link, Megarotic can just look at the title, see that it's a licensed hentai, and delete it, but if there's no proof that it's what the reporter says it is, then they can't immediately delete it.

It may not actually work that way, but that's why it's called a theory.

I'Ve read through all 4 pages of your ideas and there are some good ones among them. I hope whatever you do it works because I want Fakku to stay alive xD. Yeah I'm gonna wait and see what Raze was talking about as well as checking out more of the forums just in case I need a higher post count in the future. why don't we just use think like this to hide the link address (post the link address and use this to hide it. I think this'll help the link to be hidden
and for the Rep and post requirement suggestion, i persnoally think that'll increase the amount of spam
