VIP Elders?

We should have a private section for Elders like VIP sections in forums
It can be like a §ecret Hideout 8)

Yes this idea would put a little division in the community; however, it'll also encourage users to post more topics and share information more to become an elder, but this is merely a suggestion/poll to see what users think.

That is purely conjecture on your part. From the experience we have here, this will not encourage them to take part in meaningful conversations, but instead this will make them want to rush the sections on Fakku spamming their incoherence and one worded posts.

Like the others mentioned, there's no need for a VIP section for FAKKU elders because that would only encourage spamming and alienated other members from the rest of the community. I believe this was the very sort of thing that Gambler our resident moderator did not want to happen in the forums.

i think crimson875 idea is the best way to encourage members to be active(his uploads thread)also preventing reports,and scanning the requester's posts if it is spam

If this was /b/, I would go as far as to call ideas like this the "cancer that is killng /b/."

That's not to say that the idea is such a stupid proposal that is indeed hurting our community by simply mentioning something so absurd, I realize that you just wanted to suggest something to reward people who have rightfully earned the title elder, it's just that the idea draws such a strong "NO" in my mind that I interpret it to something as strong as the "cancer that is killing /b/".

g-money is right. Something like this would only alienate the rest of the community. More active users should receive some kind of benefit to posting more, but nothing that gives them an advantage over other users. Instead something more like a "badge of honor".
