Wallpapers

What would everyone think about a wallpaper section under User Uploads?

We do already have a Nosebleed and CG Sections but a proper Wallpaper section could let users post clean and properly sized images - even original content.

This could maybe be under Art and Digital Graphics to, but I have notice under IB that people would post what is on their desktop and other users would ask for a copy of their desktop image.

Sooo... Whatcha think?

EDIT: There is supposed to be a wallpaper section under Images, so I guess this is already a work in progress.

I don't see any particular need or demand for it. Plus, you can get wallpapers almost anywhere for free, and I think the "Other" section in User Uploads is more than enough to handle uploads by eager users to share their wallpapers.

But why go somewhere else for wallpaper when you can come here? and the "Other" section is a mess.

Plus, why would I come to FAKKU! for wallpapers? There are other sites that specialize it, and I don't see a need for FAKKU! to add a wallpaper section unless it can compete with other sites.

Probably because this is a hentai website, I can understand you asking for hentai wallpapers, but it won't happen until the Image section is done being worked on. But as for other wallpapers it's best to just go to other websites that specialize in that category and if you don't want to then you can settle for the Desktop thread.

That was my thinking though, all those pretty Wallpapers in the Desktop thread can have their own section.

How many wallpapers do you need? As far as I'm concerned, I never see my damn wallpaper because I have so many windows open. I just don't think this deserves its own section, especially because we have our own Images section, though working in progress.

I don't think just one thread deserves a section all to its self, granted if it did get it's own section that there would be more threads popping up, but I still find it unnecessary.

Maybe for future consideration, but I don't think it warrants a section right now. I don't see it being a particular popular section as it is.

I don't really see the harm in this, it wouldn't be hard to implement. I for one change my desktop on a regular basis.

Just adding Wallpapers to the upload section and people can just type the category that the wallpapers they made available to you. Via genre or anime.

Besides, I dislike the setup on Konachan despite Fakku having advertisements there.
I know I wouldn't mind contributing in the thread a bit. I'm a big fan of animepaper.net but unfortunately unless you can also make wallpapers or contribute in the forums (which I don't) you're limited to the amount you can even view. Unless you donate. So because I used their site enough I donated my $5 and can now download as much as I want to. Maybe some other users would like those same wallpapers (despite not being hentai).

Why do you dislike it?

I was having a hard time navigating through there the last time I was on it. The tags weren't real accurate.

Such as, I was in DearS section, but I was looking for a minor character in the anime - I clicked the tag with her in it but I'd get every anime wallpaper with the same name in it as well.

So it grew a little frustrating.
I mean, there's tons of selections, and it's nice finding all the h-wallpapers, but to navigate for something specific sometimes is a pain.

You can try using tag exclusions if you want something specific.

like higurashi_no_naku_koro_ni hanyuu -furude_rika -sonozaki_mion (That should search for hanyuu only), yeah it's a little obscure but it can be done.

The thing I find more annoying is the fact of using underscores but I haven't found out a good way to replace it while preserving the metatags and wildcards.

That would be the problem then, at least I have a resolve. I'm just not used to having to use the underscore method with sites.

I'll assume you either run the site or are part of it lol. No disrespect meant - I just was frustrated one day with it.
