Grammar nazis are fine in my book, most of the them can be quite intellectual and add a lot to a conversation. They only really get on my nerves when they start getting into the nitty-gritty details of writing. But it's fine if they just go after people for correcting common mistakes like "alot" (a lot) and anyways (any ways). A lot of grammar nazis aren't even really that hardcore, it's just that the level of literate capability has gone so far down the drain in todays world it would seem that they are defending the debauchery of their native language.
