AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA, Freedom? You honestly think americans are free? If so your not as intelligent as i thought you were~
But i do agree on all your other points at least~
Define freedom. I never specified freedom in connotation to oppression, speech, liberty, legislation, ontology, or anything else. I used it liberally using our specialty of freedom in which I am the most free in saying we are possibly not free.

Yeah i have to agree on the freedom part... i been in some other 'free' countries... in realization.. no one is free because your rights are given. You can lose those rights with a stroke of a hand in every country. Only true freedom is no government.
To the point of usa 1#. It common in every country to believe there brand of nationalism is the best. Been to canada, england, france, spain, japan, mexico, korea, china, ect ect.. they all believe there the best. I can care less about being number one. I have no ego. Aussie penal colony can never be free or number one outside of Vegemite and foster cans.

First two are highly debatable, and the third is facing growing competition.
Industrialization and Sustained Urbanization aren't necessarily points to be proud of, since China (and other developing countries) is a powerhouse in those areas as well, and yet Poverty and Inequality between classes is fairly extreme.
For Acceptance, it is true that America has a huge multicultural population- but I wouldn't be so quick to name it as number 1- especially when those who are intolerant make such an amount of noise. Keep in mind that the Civil Rights Movement is still recent history, and Blacks still face a very large amount of discrimination.
"Tolerance" would be a better word.
We've had such a kerfuffle before, regarding this.
I'll only say that all countries are flawed- but only The United States of America seem to be disproportionately proud in relation to their actual achievements.
"We're a great country"? Sure.
"We're number one!" A little arrogant.

About the only freedom americans seem to have these days is the right to say their opinions and be completely ignored. America lives under a corrupt government which is busy taking away what freedoms americans have left in the name of "Public safety". The "terrorist's" they are so intent on protecting everyone from are only an excuse.
Do you think that your freedom or lack there of should be dictated by the greed of your government? I don't think so myself, but i was never all that good a judge of character~

Alright. Now compare this to economic oppression in east Asian workshops, curfewed nationalism in china, warmaking in southern Africa, religious expectoration from Muslim parties in the middle east, egoist Asian subpersonialities, lack of freedom to unalienable rights in certain military first countries slave colony fatherlands, and sex trafficking industries that spot oceanic Asia and lead into such origins as europe and south america. Yep. Still #1.

Funny. You must be one of the many who never been outside the boundaries on one country. You have no idea of what brutality really is. I find it funny when anyone seen shit happen in a first world country against their citizen and cried brutality. You never seen a woman get stone for getting raped. You never heard stories of the majority killing your people/ class or religion because they are not part of the 'in crowd'. So the police beat a few hippies or other people and abuse their powers... you never heard of the government killing a whole class of people because their ancestor was the dominant class or because you believe in a different god. I'm haeresis Ecclesia Gnostica.. the pope been killing us since 200 ad, but meh Old world problems son.

freedom?
army?
american population - 298,444,215 (in 2009)
chinese womans army - 324,701,244 (in 2009)
one emt to cut off technology - and the usa is doomed; so much for your army;
importation sure, but your government prints money from thin air leading to another great depression (i don't mean the 08 depression, i mean the depression that ended in 45) do you know what money is?
money is an iou for commodoties such as gold and silver, held in a secure location - the "iou" you get, is compensation while your wealth is safely elsewhere
printing it from nothing causes mass inflation, more paper then commodoties
= a currency becoming worthless
agriculture, goes to vietnam or china;
racial equality? are you busting my balls?
i went to america, i've never seem more racism in my entire life;
even the media divides people; example? oh i dunno russel peters?
we sit and laugh at differences in america, then when an american gets angry;
those "jokes" in the subconscious get voiced in real anger building situations (tele-vision-programming, you are being told visually the program, ur bein programmed); its not what you say. but how you say it
i'll go with you on corporate profiteering; and aid
on the aid part, america can just print money to give away; have to keep up the image of the hero right? even if we destroyed the nation through war mongering, like say iraq
i'm too tired and drunk to go over the others;
p.s - i know the walled city of kowloon was a bad place,
i wasn't defending it - i was imagining life there before the demolition
i won't argue with you, being led by the triads - it was a bad place, there's no arguing that; it won't stop me from having empathy, being able to put myself in other peoples shoes - the world needs more of that; understanding
not ignorance

We can't look at two places; where inequality and tons of shit exists and say, this one is worse, therefore this one is better!
when in fact they are both bad;
you haven't disproven me, just shifted to "oh this place is worse"
i agree with you on the sweat shop bit; although more of that exists in india,
turkey iraq and iran, china is an economic powerhouse right now; the chinese have a rising middle class not that i'm defending it
go to china, you'll be surprised to find out the standard of living is actually not bad; most americans believe china is some shit hole, because of the media;
its not as bad as it used to be;
i'm just saying america isn't number 1- shit exists everywhere
america is a country that naturally picks the lesser of two evils;

Politics has killed it's thousands, and religion it's tens of thousands.
People should start studying up on some Imperial Truth (a collection of beliefs that upholds the core values of reason, science and secular progress over older traditions of religion, superstition and faith) used by The Emperor from 40k to unite all of mankind by destroying all forms of religion. I don't want to argue with an "Atheists vs Religion" kind of thing, but religion is bullshit IMO.

you say that everyone thinks their system is right;
hmm....? i fucking hate the canadian system; its a monarchy - where corrupt mps vote democratically bought out by corporations that want to rob the people

Long range strike family of systems,Coast Guard port security,Next Generation GCV,EELV,ASATS,BMD,PAX, RCOs, the omnipresent drone development, nanosats, nanotech in general, etc.
now to bring up the main contender, China, and their current development
Upgrading post cold-war radar systems, anti-ASATS, non westernized BMD, revitalization of infantry weaponry and armory( notice not upgrade), purchase of used and refurbished russian naval vehicles, aircrafts, and tanks. Nuclear spending is pretty much at a stalemate considering we're both disarming and it's not directly for the purpose of war but more along the lines of equivalent nuclear deterrance.
Onto Industrialization and sustained urbanization - I would like you to look at the most rural area in America and its equivalent in China. Yes.. every first nation thinks there system or politics are right. Which there no perfect system. Representative or parliamentary. Both are better then what come before, but no best in the general. Canada isn't a monarchy. True Canada, Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore are still under the British monarchy... except the uk isn't a monarchy. The queen controls shit. It's more like a autonomous region except the queen is only a figurehead.
Corporations don't rob people. The people on the board and ceo/cfo/coo are to blame. The manager at walmart isn't making the poor Chinese kids make your ipods for 18 hours.. the people buying the shit to the ceo to the plant is. Corruption is a give and take. You don't buy.. they can't make money. It's a civics thing.
