The Chinese are an ancient people, and have grown complacent and set in their ways over the course of history. Whereas the States are of the New World, founded by visionaries and pioneers who sought to feed progress and maximize potential.

You list all these countries and empires that in fact were at one time better than their neighbors and as such were greater but were then displaced. BUT you never explain why America truly recovering from the collapse of 08 and the educational system being subpar on the public level means it has lost its position at the top and what is then the alternative.
