Analyzing Hentai for the Sake of Comedy
2
To the proud members of Fakku
My anime tag when I attend conventions on the West Coast is G and I'm an otaku stand-up comedian. Thanks to the existence of this website I was able to gather enough information to talk about Hentai Visual novels and the moe movement which played a big part in my routine during Anime Expo's Last Comic Standing. I later won the event and now have made countless new friends and get a free pass to AX for 2010. As sit at my desk trying to come up with more material, I realized that I have yet to properly thank your website and its community for granting me such a cherished victory. Come 2010 convention season I will be hitting the stage once again in the name of making nerds laugh and as before I will be talking about the unique world of hentai as I intend to delve deeper into the subject by talking about hentai series, doujinshi plots and other things perverted.
Let me go on to say that even though I do poke fun at the genre, by all means am I belittling it. When I take the time to create a comedy bit on a subject it means that I am willing to put considerable time into researching the subject so my humor remains authentic. I wouldn't research something I hated and I do not want to tick off the members of this site as you folks number in the thousands. I for one love Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and have the entire RE-Take series on my laptop. Then again I am a oddity among my group of friends as I prefer my doujin to have strong story lines and emotional content instead of being plastered with sex scenes, but hey that's me.
The purpose of this thread is that I'm in need of help from fakku community once again. I'm always looking for new material and I want to directly interact with this community instead of just quietly observing from the sidelines. Feel free to post funny things you've noticed when you're looking for good material on the internet be it interesting habits and other quirks that have caught your attention. Who knows maybe I'll be able to get more material from the website than I already have. If you're curious about the set I ran here it is.
Pretty much the 1 to 5 minute mark (more than half of the routine) was Fakku inspired.
Again, thank you Fakku. Thank you for helping me get noticed in the nerd world and changing my life for the better. See folks, good things can come from looking at naked anime girls

That was really good, thanks for the post.
Out of curiousity, that "I got the torrent, you much be the seeder" comment seemed really well prepared. Were you expecting a comment like that, did you plant a heckler to help you out, or was it a spur of the moment comment?

What the hell, did the guy holding the camera have parkinsons?
Anyway, that was pretty good. I wasn't aware of this last comic standing thing at anime cons.

To answer your question the torret comeback was something that I totally popped into my mind at the spur of the moment. The heckler was actually the host of the event who likes to throw comments out there as a means to liven up performances. Pretty much I heard the line and for me when I think of visual novels, I think of torrents and hence the line popped into my head.
If you want to see my ability to think of jokes on the fly, you should see the tie breaker I had to fight my way through. Sadly there's no hentai humor in this video.
