Ballrooms and Jazz clubs don't exist anymore, so- nah. I don't go out, really.
They do where I come from, namely Austin. In fact, my band director in high school had a regular gig at a club downtown (The Highball) playing big band jazz.

Were it not so warm and dry, I'd consider moving for that alone.

Anything warmer than 65 and I start sweating.
And that's a definite.
I've broken sweat at 55 as well.
I was built for cold.

Is going to a saxophone club considered clubbing? I like elevator music, not like I play that shit.

You dance Jazz?! Damn, thats hard. Thats like a broadway style right? I think the closest I can go with it is street jazz.

Rest,
Seriously, its not as horrifying as some think or everyone is like this kick ass dancer. Most people I see there, just do super simple stuff that ANYONE can just copy in a matter of seconds. And if you like the music, then all the better.

Be still my pretentious old-school heart.
OT:
I don't dance in public. I prefer metal. :]

The only two nightclubs we have in my hometown play various music, but mostly RnB and stuff chavs like.
I don't like clubbing but I usually go out of peer pressure. Don't like music that's so loud you have to shout in each other's ears.

I never said that I could dance well, mind you.
I'm actually much more adept at hip-hop/break than I care for. Or was, anyways- before I actually broke something.

I am fragile. If I get punched, I die, get hurt. Falling has a hazard for my joints.

You don't need to be drunk to go crazy in a mosh pit.
Mosh pits are fun.
Been to a Slayer concert and one guy had a clearly broken arm, but he was still bashing around and having a great time.
Don't know what ultimately happened to him, but it was fun.

No worries, I've got a low pain tolerance too. Heaviest I'll do is group hairbang/headbang.
What really irks me are the idiots who start flailing around violently and stupidly during a song that's not so heavy. I saw a guy do this during Opeth's The Devil's Orchard. All I could think was "is this guy fucking mental-, no wait, you already know the answer to that question".
This is why I personally like shows in the House of Blues. Even for hard and heavy concerts, people there appreciate the music first and jerk it hard later. It's a chill place for musicians and fans alike.

It can be for some people, but like I said, low pain tolerance, that I never really developed or enhanced (or whatever the word is). I'd prefer to enjoy the show in one piece, rather than concentrate on a broken limb while it plays in the background.
