Math is not my strong suit. In fact on this morning's shift, I seem to have been five dollars behind on my register count at shift's end.
Which I had to balance with my own fiver.
Yeaaaaaaah I didn't make any more money errors again today.
God, why didn't they just charge us for doing wrong in math class, I'd have paid WAY more attention.

Count money when you accept it, and count money back when you give change. Turn bills to face all one direction, and give a person coins first, then hand them the bills.
any difference in what you're supposed to have isn't math error but rushing error. bills sticking together usually when you're in a rush to grab money from the till.

I do count the money in as well as out a second time when handing it over.
Eeee... managed to do half the opening procedures today alone until boss arrived.
Safe is finicky, but that's probably a GOOD thing. Just need to get the hang of which forms get filled out when and how during close/open time, and doing customer returns.
Also fuck those damn security sensors on high price items, so finicky too... @_@'
I feel a fool to keep asking for help, but I try to smile/nod and keep everyone pleased. Actually, that's been the easy part: I generally do try to help people out all the time, so that's been fine.
