Evanglion 3.3 Trailer

Came out today.

3.0 comes out next month in theater on Japan. Might take another 6 months for the dvd and blu ray to come out.

I've yet to watch any Evangelion.

Neon genesis Evanglion is worth watching but you can skip it if you really want.

The Rebuild movies are a shorter version of the series but with better visuals.

1.0 - Literally the exact same as the series. If you decide to watch NGE, you can skip this one.
2.0 - They changed the story completely. Now there's a new character, topic image. Much, much better than the first movie.

And there's the End of Evanglion movie. Everyone can agree that the ending of NGE is shit, so they made a movie to change it. The movie is one of the best animes movie. And also one of the weirdest anime movies.

I'd want to watch the series and the first movie. The movies are licensed in the UK so I could just buy them. I don't understand why the series isn't.

So what is 2.0? What does that have to do with the series? Is it like an alternative or something?

Been into Eva since 1997, I've watched and read almost everything animated and related to it so far related to the series, so I'm pretty hyped for the new movie to see the badass Shinji in this action again and what changes they made to the story.

Dude, didn't you see the last movie? He actually grew enough balls to nearly start 3rd Impact by simply resucing Rei during the whole 13th Angel mess in one of the most Evangelion defying moments ever made. If Shinji wasn't badass then, what moment would you say he was in?

never watched Eva but as I am currently bored I think I will try getting the 1.0 movie. Perhaps I will find it interesting

It was a long time ago. Don't remember.

To be technical, end of evangelion is actually just a 'new' episode 25 and 26. Or at least that's what my dvd shows. (malaysian version, so prolly not actually the truth)

I for one am keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen for 3.33

Very interested to see what happens/ how they take it. Aren't there meant to be like 4 movies? and the second one ended pretty close to the end of the original series?
Also, for purists, they did cut out some parts, some of the voices have changed (cause some of the original voice actors 'dropped off of the face of the earth') Which gets annoying. but meh.

What's your verdict? Remake, or sequel?

So if the second movie is a largely different story then the series. As I have been hearing. Which would you guys say is better? The way the movies are going or the way the series did it?

First watch the second movie and then the series (if you want to).
