What classes are there?
honestly the only question you should have is what type of character do you want to create, a magic based one? a tank? faith build? one that just fishes for crits? once you have that figured out, then you pick the starting build for it, I tend to go for either straight bulk, or a quick "get touched and die" builds
I mostly play Archer/Cleric types... able to support from behind.
so faith, with miracles that heal your team mates, you biggest problem will be damage, because early game will be tough, but with the right weapon, and a little be of skill, it shouldn't be too hard for someone like you or for anyone for that matter
