Personally I think Fakku is too dead to warrant any more personal user threads. The latest ones that have been created barely took off. In fact they're struggling lately.
The Cafe and Girls club are the main active threads right now.

No idea, I've been wondering the same thing. I can only guess they got fed up with the constant bugs here and out of frustration.

IB tends to be even more dead these days...

Maybe from forums yes, but with books sale providing decent income (what frontpage tells us) the people are here. Lurking perhaps.

A lot of the new comers have partners too, so they're not here that often.

Buying books won't mean they'll come on the forums. Especially as the book section isn't bugged.

We don't get many newbies in CTFG period. Which doesn't help.

if you want more people you need to advertise the forum more.
i have seen a few people who post on the meet and greet saying they never knew about the forum plus the ctfg is sub tread under ib and sore most newbies don't look around that much, i know i didn't mostly lurked on the random and request thread.
only came to the the ctfg after it got linked in few post.

Am sure newbies get chased out when they post in ib thread by the regulars from ib
