in general you are right about it being Jacobs job, he sort of advertises by giving people the fakku book founder achievement, which lets them see and write in the fakku book thread's.but for the cafe, it needs to be done by the users, i know some users have it in their signature.
but most of the old/current users have settled in parts of the forum and only few will post on different section.
There are user who have settled in the ib, some in ctfg, etc and and don't really go to different section of the forum.
It will be upto the users to get newbies to look around the whole forum instead of just staying in one conner of the forum.
CTFG in general is dead though. So I'm not focusing it on specific threads.
i think the whole forum seems to be died, the only new user i see are the ones that make a request or moan about missing tag, contents or about fakku going legit.
If Jacob made so that being active on the forum gave some rewards, then i think more people will hand around the forum, i.e. unlocking a achievement gives you a 10% off voucher for the store or off the upcoming FAKKU Subscription for the mags. (which i see luin was the 1st person to put his name down to be beta tester) or if your thread reaches x amount pages give you access to Fakku gold (when it comes out) for a x amount of days

Simply fixing the server issues would help.

should be #1 on Jacobs list, instead of gold, Subscription, book, no point having this feature if user cant access them when they want because of the maintenance page

i can see when he release all these feature and the site get more people, there will be more server issues, but hopefully as fakku grows and gets more money he will buy or move to a better server and hire more devs to sort out issue more quickly
