Don't care for Fate/whatever, although she's certainly not as scary as most interpretations of this one.

I know you don't care for that series, just saying I have a version I am used to seeing, so I can't see this Ellie as being the same as that one
Not being from Europe, I don't know most if not any of her story/history
Remember, we Americans learn very little European history, the amount we learn just keeps shrinking each year
There is a set year in the education system for "World" history, but as time passes, stuff needs to be cut out and certain parts prob have to be expanded upon
There is a set course for European history, however its typically reserved for advance placement students. My thought is they don't wanna waste time teaching people about Europe who won't ever be able to actually visit it someday (unless they win the lotto)

Pretty sure the current system now, if you asked a teenager now, they wouldn't know where your country is, or the neighboring ones. Though even I get the northern peninsula ones in wrong order

We don't learn about her either. Did look her up after the mention in Ghost Hunt, though, and have seen her mentioned or discussed a few times after that as well.
