Then why bother greet everyone separately then? That statement counters it.
Separate greetings are usually for those who arrive when I'm already here.
And, to be honest, apart from just being polite, the main reason for me to greet people, despite there sometimes being complaints that there's nothing else in the thread, is to move the thread along and give them the chance to post again in case they want to, as otherwise they would not be able to due to the restriction on double posting.
