So, with the holidays coming up, what is everyone doing for Halloween? I'm thinking of cosplaying as a fem-prinny or a MLP character.

But why? XD Nobody cosplays on Halloween here, since it's not celebrated.

Well, I'd like to add another topic of discussion to the rest of the ladies here anyway. What are your plans for Halloween this year? Are there parties or celebrations exclusive to your region/area?

I'll try to get some pics taken, but I'm kinda antisocial so it'll be tricky. Cameras are a no-no for me.

As to parties? None. Nobody does any parties around here. The local bar has a party(ish) but I never go. It's never really any fun unless they book a band to be there. Too many drunks trying to sneak a grab/peek. I might go trick or treating to get odd looks from people around town. If I find a decent costume I'm hoping to turn a few heads.~

I wanna make/buy something like this, possibly.

Something Dutch that the rests of the world occassionally doesn't know of is 'Sinterklaas'. It's based around a saint, but even non christians like me celebrate it. Everyone does, unless you do presents at christmas. (which is a rarity in Holland, since everyone does presents at Sinterklaas)

I've been so busy that I haven't even done any work on my halloween costume yet! Aiyah!

I should get on it. I found a seller that makes Twilight Sparkle patches, so I'll buy one and sew it onto a purple shirt, then make myself a unicorn horn...laziest costume ever. =_=

Didn't you talk about getting a Panty/Stocking wig to go with it? (never watched it, wouldn't know which was which .-.)



America's really hypocritical with Christmas. It's more about presents than religion for the majority of us, so we should just adopt the Dutch holiday. I don't participate in religious holidays and even I celebrate it. At least that I've noticed.

I'm going out for dinner two days before Halloween.
It'll be pay weekend, so a bunch of us are going out for dinner and drinks to celebrate my birthday. . . even if it's two weeks away. xD
I think if I were to celebrate my birthday on the actual day, nobody would have the money to do anything since it will be the middle of the month. .___.;

Mhm, a Stocking wig. But it won't be shipped in time for Halloween (procrastination sucks) so I'll just wear purple and pink clip-ons for now.

You´d be surprised. XD Sinterklaas is more of a ´present´ holiday than Christmas in America, since that´s basically the whole idea. Of course there´s sinterklaas food, like pepernoten, but it´s mostly about the presents and Sinterklaas himself getting to be on TV shows and the like.

Halloween isnt celebrated in its full sense where I live. It isn't about trick o' treating or pumpkins or monsters and such, it's just turns into a theme party at clubs.
The one time I actually went in costume, I went as a goddess.
