The last Ratchet and Clank I remember playing was Deadlocked.[color=#006FFF]I remember only getting so far in that one and stopping for one reason or another. I love the Future series games a lot more than the initial trilogy, despite loving 2 as a big part of my childhood in gaming. The third one (which is actually Up Your Arsenal while 2 is Going Commando--mixed up those titles earlier, whoops) I got to the very end against the last boss but just couldn't beat him. I remember it being impossibly hard and just giving up after spending hours on it.
Really, Insomniac hasn't been able to capture that spark of imagination and fun since Into the Nexus, since Resistance, while being alright as a game, wasn't very laid back or "fun" in the same sense at all, and Fuse was just a huge dud and an even bigger let down. Their latest work in progress though, Sunset Overdrive, is looking very promising thus far. I'm bummed that it's an XBOne exclusive since I don't own one atm (nor will I for some time), but I'm very happy to see that Insomniac is essentially "being themselves" again. It looks like a ton of fun.
Also, hello there Sneak and Zam. o/

[color=#006FFF]Ohh, hehe. Hmm, even though when I say what the connections are, it feels very obvious, I never really saw Lion King as a rip from Hamlet. It never really came off as such to me--neither when I saw it initially, nor when I watch it now. Like I said though, it's definitely clear when you say who represents what but yeah. I never see it as such when I watch the movie despite knowing it's there.
Hamlet's possibly my favorite Shakespearean play (from the ones I've read), but I would love to read King Lear sometime since I hear it's known as being "the greatest tragedy ever written" or something like that, and as someone who loves well-told tragic tales, I'm all over the idea of that.
EDIT:
Zam is totally here because my presence drew him in. -u-)9

[color=#993300]Which is what i exactly think as well. The initial setup of the Lion King as Hamlet, but Disney takes a complete turn with it.
I read Hamlet because I was required to but also because it's one of the only ones where we realize that the main hero is actually human and fallible. However, I loved King Lear because the man (Edmund was his name?) is a mastermind, going something along the lines of "I'm gonna kill the king, this is how I'm going to do it and you all should all come along for the ride". King Lear really utilizes one of the main aspects of Shakespearean plays, that being Shakespearean characters don't hold secrets to the audience, the entire thought process is openly described to the audience

[color=#993300]Hello Eine, how did the search go?
@Hamlet, I must continue my doting. The sheer complexity of King Lear is almost tyrannical. It's fantastic, with dual plots and many, many layers. And then it all smashes together, sheesh, I get goosebumps
