Serious question: If a girl were to have a sexual session with another girl only out of curiosity and no more than once in a blue moon, could she be considered bisexual despite whether she believes she's straight?

Okay I'll need some specifics about this. First of all what do you mean exactly by 'once in a blue moon'? If you mean she does it every so often but not frequently, then we have a few specifics we need to consider. First of all is she actually sexually attracted to the women or is she merely doing it for stress relief "any port in a storm" so to say. If she has the sexual attraction, yes. If she doesn't, I'd say still straight with the personal ability to sleep with women.

If you mean 'once in a blue moon' as in she only does it once a decade or only once in her life it still comes down to whether that sexual attraction is there. If it was merely curiosity on her part, no. She wouldn't be bi. But if she continuously did it every so often when not with a man, I'd argue that's enough evidence to suggest she is.

Woah... did not expect such a well thought out speculation and response. The question was serious, but it wasn't on a very serious matter. I was just asking for some authenticity with regards to a character in my story. Sam's obviously a lesbian, Bridgette's bi as hinted in the most recent chapters, and I have made a strong case that Jessi is straight. The problem was, there's a scene later that I plan to write where Jessi might help one of them out with some "intimate things." I was just wondering if that would change her orientation.

I wouldn't mind her sexuality being altered obviously, but it would seem kinda...bland and an obvious case of a lack of subtext involved if she changed based on a purely sexual act. Obviously I know you won't do that, but you should really focus when it's her on her thought process, her uncertainty about herself and the growing desire to try and be with a woman or women. If she believes she's straight, quickly decides to try it and then decides she is bi, it'll look and sound a little dull and maybe even derogatory since it could make bisexuality seem like a really easy thing to accept when in actuality a lot of people still struggle with it.

Anyway, obviously that's not how I'm going to go about doing it. The question did need to be asked because this story has a legitimate LGBT couple. See, in my previous work, A Young Man's Summer, I did a girl on girl scene between two obviously straight women. One was injured and hadn't been able to get any sexual relief in months, but due to her injured state, she couldn't really pleasure herself. Her friend offered to do it for her, but said it needed to be kept a secret between them. Obviously, the both derived pleasure out of it, but neither were sexually attracted to each other. I would also like to add that the friend doing the assisting is a serious sadist who revels in seeing others squirm in pleasure, so she went a little overboard because of that after seeing the pleasure in her friend's face. With regards to Raven Stone however, it's a bit more complicated which is why I had to ask.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to keep Jessi straight, but if she does commit to some saucy girl on girl action whether out of curiosity or not, I want it to be authentic with regards to changing her orientation or not. I know you're all for her to turn sides, but I'm still in the process of deciding. Haha, sorry to disappoint.
