You teach them how to stop being shit by being an example of awesome. All of the times Fakku was slightly better was when good users showed up and did some quality work.

To be perfectly honest though I cant be certain my method is the one that will work, I've tried to force quality into these sections as both a user and moderator and it's never really stayed around for very long.

PM any new user in M&G that has a emoticon in the OP and tell them to not be a faggot.

The people who made these forums worth reading are either gone or they have a leash around their neck and can't do anything without having to worry about being in a lot of trouble for their posting style.

Don't have to break rules to be awesome, if you do then you're not awesome enough.

One of the things we could really use is a villain, someone for the whole community to rally against. It can't be someone who doesn't have staying power though, too many run away too quickly when faced with adversity.

Either way awesome is fairly hard to pin down as it's more of a feeling you get when reading good drama or awesome content.

The only person who would be willing to do that is me, but like you said about "staying power."

My role as a villain is hindered by the leash I'm forced to wear. If any of you remember how I was before I was made staff you would realize that recently you've only seen a fraction of what I can do when not hindered. I do like my position so I wont act out but it would be nice to be free again, free to destroy users who truly deserve it. Oh it would be glorious.

The leash is my modship, so if you're asking if being a mod is helpful then yes it is, but I can't act as I wish. If you're saying it's useful to keep me tied up so I can't do more damage or insinuating that would be wholly unfair if I wasn't tied up then I say there is no real way to know, the fact is I can't act as I used to and I used to be a lot more fun. No use regretting it now, I've made my bed and now I must lie in it.

Is your modship holding you back because you feel like there's somethings you can't say?
