Freaking Snow, and lack thereof

I work at a manufacturing plant, and because of the "terrible" blizzard we're supposed to get, they handed us our checks and told us that the plant would be closed today and tomorrow.
I was supposed to be at work two hours ago.
I don't see why we didn't just work half the day, then go home before the blizzard hit.
So much for that car I'm saving up money for...
>_>
EDIT: Apparently sadpanda doesn't like pictures that are 10800 by 2390... Thanks iPhone panorama.
EDIT EDIT: Before anyone says anything, the iPhone was an upgrade that I got for Christmas. The 4S line became hella cheap after the 5 launched.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: IM COMPLAINING

so...are you celebrating or complaining?
Mostly complaining. I need to save up money to buy a car.
My current car is only running on five cylinders right now due to a bad fuel injector...

Where do you live? It was pretty bad over here in RI last week. It took me three hours to clear my driveway and front walk.

Nice yellow bug is that yours?Naw it's this piece of crap.
Spoiler:
A 1990 Chevy Lumina. One of the fuel injectors was stuck open, so I had to have it removed. It's only running on five cylinders instead of six now...
Should've known not to trust a GM...
A better picture of what it looks like. Not the same car, but same model and everything.

Ok... Why not just replace the fuel injector, and not have a car that's misfiring and crap?

It's not worth the money to put into the vehicle (it's the latest in a long string of problems the car has had).

I thought it was as easy as just popping the old injector out, (after maybe unbolting the fuel rail) pushing the new one in, then redoing everything up :o
I'm literally know nothing about injected cars, aside from how they work... not how to work on them. I've only played with carbied cars/ engines

From what I see online, the injector itself seems to be cheap, but the thing is, I'm not exactly mechanically inclined (I'm a software person myself)
I should also note that it's not really "my" car. My parents gave it to me, but I don't really want it necessarily and plan on giving it back to them. I use it to get around, but given its service record, it seems to be a large money hole that I don't really want to deal with.

Welcome to cars in general, son. You should probably see if you can be a bit mechanically minded... It really cuts costs. I've fixed a fair few things on my car. Things that'd cost $2,000+ to replace in a shop, I did... Saved tonnes :D Timing belt and head gasket in a front wheel drive car = massive pain in the ass

See, this is what I'm trying to avoid.
My next car will have:
1) RWD
2) Manual Transmission
Also, want manual seats, windows, and other bits that don't need to be electronic...
Only seems to cause problems.

Front wheel drives aren't that bad, it's just they are a very small workspace, so gay to work on...
But, that is a good idea. No power shit to fail on you

Rear wheel drive cars just feel like more fun to drive, especially in the snow, hehe.
I drove a RWD car once, and was sold on the whole system.
Also, manual transmissions are best transmissions.
