To be fair, all/most of those were meant as jokes or as intentionally illogical statements for the purposes of saying "that person was awesome"... Apart from Shirou's line. Poor, naive, stupid Shirou.

Obvious to us, my dear fellow, but many people really do seem to use those sorts of lines against the anime they're from, as if the writers/translators didn't get it. Just ask Sindalf. It makes him rage.

That sounds incredibly stupid... damn the public school system. Leaving out the "Common Sense" classes... To be fair, everything and anything makes Sindalf rage.
For those that still don't get it: THE GAIZ' SO STRONG THAT LIKE, EVEN IF THEY DIED. THEY STILL WOULDN'T DIE.
