A small experiment to see if I can get into Luna's mind and develop her a little. The following is told from her point of view and takes place immediately from where I left off. If it feels different from where I left off it's probably because my state of mind was different from when I wrote the previous part. Let's see how it goes. This was written on a friend's computer, but mistakes are expected.
"Okey dokey"
Hm, let's see. Landing spot, landing spot. There are too many trees.
"Um, Straha? The area is to forested to land"
"I see. Alright I'll just rope doown."
"Are you sure? Maybe we could clear a path by shooting some trees down."
No, it's alright I've done this many times before."
"What about the ship?"
"Stay with it. I'll leave your rocks here."
"You're leaving me here? B-but..."
"I'll be back. I'm just gonna see if there is anything I can do to help."
"Uu~ Ok but come back quickly"
"I will" he says and goes off
The ship is so quiet and empty without anyone in it. I wonder if Straha ever got lonely in here before I came along? Maybe he still feels lonely even with me here. I am just a ghost after all. There isn't much I can do since I can only touch items if they are electric. I can't cook or clean or do any sort of housework. Hmm...
Oh, he's already on the ground. I can see him from here. I can't tell what's going on but he seems to have his arms raised in the air as he goes toward the downed ship.
I wonder of if there is some sort of dangerous situation going on? I could probably use the ship's weapons if I have too but my aiming isn't great and I might hurt Straha.
Mm? Now he put his arms down and is aproaching the two individuals near the ship. He's shaking their hands while one of them pats his back. Maybe he knows them? He did say that the voices sounded familiar. I guess there isn't anything to worry about.
Maybe I spoke too soon?
The ship is giving a warning. It seems that another ship has been detected in thihe area and is powering up it's weapon systems.
I have to warn Straha through the radio before it gets here.
"Straha, there is anoter ship comming in and it seems to be hostile. It's powering up it's weapons and looks ready to attack"
"Thanks for the warning, Luna. Activate the ship's shields and prepare to fire but only if you are attacked first. The guys down here are friends of mine and they say that a Megalosembrian ship will be here in a few minutes to pick them up. We have to hold off anyone until then."
"Um, ok. Activating the shields"
I've never been in combat. Straha can take this to stride because he had probably been in many battles before, but I'm somewhat scared.
Ah! They are firing.
"Uu~ L-locking in target. Firing missiles!"
A volley of four missiles were fired, but the other ship doesn't seem to be backing down. I guess I should keep firing?
"Locking target. Firing"
Again, they are not backing own. I don't know how to read the ships meters properly yet so I don't know how much of the shields are left.
"Locking target. Firing"
They just keep fighting back. Their ship is starting to look damaged. Why aren't they backing off?
"Straha, I'm scared!"
"Don't worry" he says through the radio. "My rifle is almost ready. Just keep distracting them"
"Ready for what? Well ok. Locking target. Firing."
Looks like there are only 4 missiles left. Whatever he is doing, he better do it qui- wait, what's that?
"Wow...It's so pretty." I accidentaly say outloud. A bright beam if light is shooting up into the sky. It's color seems to change as it travels. It went through the enemy ship and it's going going down. Some guys managed to abandon ship before it crashed and burned. It looks like they are moving to attack Straha and the rest.
I should probably attack them using the ship's other weapons.
"Straha, I see a few people going in your directon. Should I attack from up here"
"No, I got it. Just watch."
As he said that, a bright light engulfed the area bellow. It's so bright that I had to look away for a few seconds.
"Straha, are you ok?!"
Looks like the light is starting to fade and...there is Straha! He's standing next to the bodies of the guys who were going after him.
"Straha?"
"I'm here. Did you see? I told you I had the situation under control. Rushing at me will only get you killed. It sure caused the deaths of these guys."
"My heart is still pounding. I'm sorry I was so scared."
"Don't worry, everyone is scared their first time. You did great and helped me take them down. I'm proud of you."
"Really?"
"Yup."
"I'm glad I was able to be usefull. I don't want you to abandon me."
"Abandon you? Why would I do that?"
"Maybe I'm too much of a burden? I don't want to be useless and just bother you all the time..."
"What are you talking about? You're not a burden at all. You've livened up the ship since you came along. I dare say that I'd miss you if you left"
"Shut up, you're making me blush!"
Stupid Straha, making me worry and then making me blush like that. Still...I'm glad that he doesn't regret bringing me along.
Back to Straha's view
After a while, the Megalosembrian ship we were waiting for came and picked up the guys in trouble. I hadn't expected to see those guys again. They helped me when I first started my journey so it's only fair I helped them back. I climbed back onto the ship, got some water, and sat down to relax on the sofa. Or at least I intended to relax when Luna came in, giggling.
"What are you giggling about?" I ask
"You said you were happy you brought me along. That makes me happy"
"Oh, that...I'd still throw you out in a heart-beat if you ever got too annoying."
That shocked her out of it. Now she looks sad/mad.
"What?! You're not a meanie, you're a Bastard!" She said and stormed off into the control room.
"Haha, I'm kidding I'm kidding." I said as I followed her in.
What will I do with this troublesome ghost?
