guys... whats the use of the bayonet these days?

really... whats the use for them now? when we all know that modern warfare these days doesn't call for shitloads of people charging into a position with only their guns studded with a knife.

OT: Its become obsolete, now that not even the military teaches how to equip one, well except BCT.

Bayonets are effective.. if you live in the 1930s.
Combat nowadays is pretty much CQC. Meaning, that stick at the end of your gun is pretty much useless if your enemy has pretty much got your neck.
Fisticuffs my friend, fisticuffs.

They are still quite relevant since they are also the gp knife in a lot of cases. Handy for cutting the throats of your enemy etc.

killing zombies, you'll see in about 3 episodes.I'm more interested in the skimpy cooking outfit.
OT: A bayonet reduces the amount of time it takes for you to inflict serious damage on your enemy while also giving you the advantage of having a greater range when engaged in melee combat.
