A friend of mine has these yellow crusty secretions on her lips. Anyone know what it is?

No idea what that is. Looked up possible solutions for it though, and antibacterial cream apparently helps.

Just tell her to wipe her mouth. If they persist its probably because she's not brushing.
If its what I think it is, then shew needs to brush... my friend had something similar and that was the case... assuming that its what i think it is.

She say's its been going on and off for the past month and it basically surrounds her lips. It's possible to wipe off but it comes back a few hours later.

I think that i had something similar in the past - and the yellow stuff was a result of my dry mouth and lips or probably not healthy eating.

I would like to know why only one person has suggested a sexually transmitted disease. They sound like sores, which really should be examined by a medical professional. I would also suggest keeping your mouth and penis as far away from this person as possible, as I am 98% sure she's been sexually irresponsible.

I looked up what you're describing, and it seems very likely that is either an infection or an STD. Either way, she needs to see a doctor TO BE SURE. I can't advise a simple run to the drugstore for topical antibiotic ointment when it's just as plausible that it could, in fact, be Herpes.

Can't be herpes as if it's reoccurring and without blistering or returning to latency it's not herpes labialis.Could be a lip allergy. I suggest hydrocortisone cream.
