I feel the world
pulsate around me
and now is when my
sweat blinds my eyes
throbbing furiously,
erratically, gasping,
my heart is a monster
breaking out of its cage
I am melting yet my
fingers are cold
then,
everything stops

there is no sound

i fly motionlessly

I am freedom

this is eternity
but

why is it ending?
and
this doesn't feel right
though I knew all along
my actions recite the
lines of a tragedy
in contrived tones,
with some difficulty
as facial muscles
ache from the strain
of striking their pose
and refraining from
unsightly contortions
and
why have I done this?
