I just beat Dante Must Die mode in DMC HD.

It's taken me only 5 days since the start of the run, but I actually did something I didn't do one the first time in the original version all those years ago...beat the hardest hack and slash game on the hardest difficulty, THE FAIR WAY.
This is not my gameplay, but it certainly helped me in getting past frustrating moments in this boss fight (the hardest of all things put together on the difficulty), took me about three tries before I got it right today.
I thought it was also fitting that I got the trophy for beating DMD mode as my 100th Gold trophy. Now, I demand a reward from the fellow FAKKU!ers, come at me, bros.

Dante can rock harder than these guys if he wanted to.

No, but they compensate with their awesomeness.

I won't complain about that (though I have yet to see them in action, never saw the series based on them), both have their own unique ways of showing their awesomeness.

I noticed when it got quoted, but I was lazy to correct it then. Now I just don't care.

I remember on the PS2 when I first started, I couldnt even beat Phantom on normal. I didnt get the HD collection yet, but I will. I will attempt DMD on the first one.

I'm guessing that's an achievement? If so, then congrats. I don't have the patience to do anything like that unless I really like the game or have completed it a 1,000 times.

Blast from the past !
So much to remember. Come to think of it, I almost failed a midterm exam back then. I was playing GTA San Andreas day in day out. It was so much fun. Maybe I should install it again, just to get a good "nostalgiasm". lol

Oh, hell yeah, I can call that an achievement worth getting for one of the hardest games around, probably because I loved the series so much I wanted to get it done when I couldn't do so about 14 years ago. I actually thought DMC 1 was much harder than all the games put together so far, the Dante Must Die bosses in the original game up to Nelo Angelo 3 onwards were no joke. I thought I would have spent more time in DMD, but I'm glad it was over and done with.
One more trophy left before I claim the plat for this game, thus making me an official pro in DMC, now if only I can stop fooling around and start playing like this guy, sick Jump Cancelling FTW.

DMC 3 wasn't really that difficult... Once you get the proper combos up, it's just easy... Also, Vergil is predictable... He has plenty of openings after his own combos, which is pretty easy to dodge...

Pretty much what he said, of course I pretty much used Vergil to get everything trophy wise done because of his Spiral Swords, which you can spam and abuse in combat, same goes for his Yamato JC rebounds, helped me a lot during DMD mode.
I just not to long ago platted DMC 1 HD at last, with most of my fascination surrounding the game when it first came out, I feel more than satisfied with this, it was just as challenging as MGS 2 HD was when I going for the 'Virtually Impossible' trophy and people say it's one of the hardest trophies/acheivements around now.

Yeah man, it really is! Played the game so much could even recite every word on WCTR by memory. Because I played the game so often I even have a save file where I completed everything not unlocked by missions which can be unlocked by Wasting yourself using the Jetpack cheat in the introductory cutscene. It has all clothes, 4 out of 6 girlfriends at 100% (other 2 are unlocked through missions), ambulance/firetruck/vigilante sub-missions done, stadiums completed, stats to full, full weapon skills, some of the vehicles needed for the Easter Basin imports side-mission in the available garages and all the properties in the first island bought. Not got the collectables though, can't be arsed with those. Accidentally did the Big Smoke mission, but that's a fucking annoying mission anyway. Fuck doing all of those every time start the game again.
My copy on Steam decided to suddenly work again after 2 years, so I've been playing it again over the past few days.
