Incoherent Babbling Post Count

Originally posts in Incoherent Babbling and the Chat forum didn't count towards post count because we used the number as metric for other parts of the site. Many years ago your post count gave you privileges to edit upload information, access different parts of the site, etc etc. But that was a long time ago and all of that is gone. Post count doesn't count for anything anymore.

So I'm thinking we remove the restrictions on these forums, and now no matter where you post it counts towards your overall post count. What do you think?

Most of my posts are in IB, and honestly I really don't care.

IB is like the 20 same people so it's not like people give each other shit for post count here.

I say yes; let all posts count to your post count. In literal terms, that's what it should be showing, your full 'post count'. On the contrary to the spam thing that people does for post count tho, you might encourage more people to finally get on the forums.

There are lots of people thinking comment section and doujins/manga are all of Fakku. Maybe it's about time you promote some forum activities, or something. IDK.

Will the effect be retroactive? Would be hilarious if it will be and it breaks the site.

I imagine only ctfg posters would care about this, since IB is a barren wasteland.

I kinda prefer it implemented because it shows how much shit I've posted against threads I've actually contributed to (for the most part).

If you're going to reform anything I think it should be rep. Make it count towards something.

I'm not really too sure. I guess you should try it out and if it works, it works. If not you could always rollback. I'm assuming this would mean you would merge the actual post and total posts together?

Don't really care as long as it isn't too much trouble for the site. Only difference will be that CTFG users will get +4000 posts.
