I'm safe from all disasters until the we get 9.0 magnitude or something here. Then shit is going to be really ugly. Vancouver and Seattle are going to get fucked in the ass, I'm glad I live in-between nice pretty mountains that protect me from major natural disasters. Then again I guess I have to put up with the constant fear of being eaten by a bear, being charged by a moose, ripped to shreds by a cougar or horded by wild turkeys.

I didn't even feel the earthquake when it happened.

Honestly, that sounds fun. I live in Oregon in the valley, so I don't get much of storms except excessive rain.

I know so many people from Oregon on this site. Also I am gonna guess you're from Bend. Or are you near the Willamette?

The area I live in happens to be the only inland rainforest in NA, we get rain most of the year round and tons of snow during winter. The saving grace is that it's also very beautiful all year round, especially when it manages to get a few sunny days in a row.

Ha! I haven't even seen my own thread in days, all of lower NYC lost power and i've been living off dried cereal and funtimes stuff like that. We do have water, but only cold water. It's kinda strange, and there's been a lot of looting going on. There was big explosion two nights ago that light up half the city; apparently some transformers blew up. I don't even know. Spending the night at my friends place, I had to walk halfway across the city. Sandy really did a number on this city!

I used to live in Coos Bay and Cottage Grove. I used to drive up to Salem all the time.
