It's silly that you're upset over this.

I am not upset at this directly, i am irritated that they are using it as leverage to pass the laws that enable more CCTV cameras to be installed.

Agreed, and this kind of makes it go into SD rather than IB. But, as tragic as this case is, no amount of CCTV cameras would prevent this crime from occurring or guaranteeing that the criminal is caught. All it would do, is increase the probability, meanwhile creating a quasi-stasi state to do so.
