just to busy

I work two jobs. When i get home i work on writing my book. My off days i spend with friends, family, or my girlfriend. I never have time for my self. My parents are dead beat pot heads. I have to look after my kid sister a lot, they just drop her at my place like some kind of daycare. The little time i do get to my self i spend online watching anime. Some times i wonder when ill get to rest. So im wondering do you guys think im wasting my life doing all this for nothing.

I don't know about you, but spending time to write your book or with your friends and girlfriend should count as spending time for yourself. These are leisurely activities. If they aren't and you consider them a chore then stop writing your book and/or break up with your girlfriend/drop some friends.
I mean, what exactly do you consider "time for yourself?" For most people "time for themselves" is time that isn't dedicated to surviving or fulfilling obligations. It sounds you have a LOT of time not working. If being with friends/girlfriend and writing a book are obligations, then stop doing them since it seems you aren't enjoying yourself.

I was thinking more along the lines of sleep.
Ok maybe i should have said time to rest. Not "time for my self"
it just feels like everyone needs me. That is not bad. But i could really use some rest.

Then its a matter of priorities. You're putting sleep in low priority compared to spending time with friends/girlfriend, writing your book and watching anime. You're busy because you're making yourself busy.

Well i have to be busy. If i don't work things will fall apart. I hardly see my friends unless they need my help. As for my girlfriend shes going threw a lot, and i need to be there for her, to hold, and comfort her. My parents are always borrowing money. And im trying to save up my money to get me my sis and girlfriend out of this pit of a city we live in.

Also if your friends only need you for your help, then get friends which you get to see regardless of weather they need your help.
I think it is nice you take care of your sister :)

I totally agree, i think it's very responsible and noble of you to have that goal. There doesn't seem to be a wasted minute, with the exception of the money lending, you're living to help others. It will pay off in the end.

Only reason i lend them money is because if i didn't they might do something stupid to get money. And since my parents wont let my sister live full time with me. Im afraid they would do something that might hurt her.

Before I go into anything, let me just say this... you're a wonderful brother and boyfriend, and you can consider me an ally. I'll say this for you: No, it is not a waste of time; what your parents do is a waste of time.
Your situation sucks ass at one end and brillantly bright at the other. So many people end up in deadends themselves because of their parent's immaturity and irresponsibility, and yet here you are, leading a purposeful life. Your life and thus your time is too valuable to be spent on parents that does nothing. Devote your efforts to your girlfriend and little sister, as they will reap the most benefit.
I can't imagine how much your sister must want to live with you instead, and I only wish your parents would just leave you and your sister alone. Not only do they not contribute, they actually makes things worse. There's no need for you to associate yourself with them, although I can understand it if you still want to.
That said, your time is extremely valuable, so it must be used well. Sometimes its best to reject your friends' request. Being true friends that I'm sure they are, they shouldn't mind the fact that you're so busy.
By the way, if I may... what are you doing for yourself now? Current career or aspirations and part-time? What's your book for: hobby or publishing?

Hmm... have you been to FanFiction.com and FictionPress.com? Both of these places will offer amatuer writers such as yourself a great training ground for your skills, as well as a supportive community that could one day become your fanbase. I've heard of members there going pro, so it could be your ticket to success. May I suggest post-secondary education? It'll increase your credibility with publishers if you got a degree on your resume.
Also, your work and life reminds me of a close friend of mine, except his parents aren't as bad, but he as a degenerative genetic disease as trade off. Equivalent Exchange can be a pain.
One question: would you happen to be Canadian as well? I've read in another post of your's that made me think you're not american, but is close to the country, so my deduction led to Canada. If so, I encourage you to move to BC. It's got awesome environment, and the robust flim industry located here could use a good script, although the housing sector's looking a bit grim so maybe not immediately...

BC's doing pretty good, and the pot here isn't doing so great cause everybody's lacing them with meth and other crap, so even potheads are shaking their heads. The Olympics has attracted a lot of foreign and national attention to BC, so a wave of growth could occur. It may be wise to be here for that wave when it does come. Although AB is still awesome itself, your parents are there to hold you down, and they may come to haunt you later when you are established.
Good luck with your writing career. Though I will say it's gonna be an uphill battle, the boundless rewards more than compansates.
You may want to look into child welfare for your sister. There's all kinds of aids for low income families and child aid, not to mention tax breaks. You can also get tax return for education so that's also a +1 for school. But really, you probably should get your facts straight before you're ready to leave with your two girls, as something call the law now stands in your way. But I'm sure the good people in our system will agree just as we have here that your sister should be with you.
