Yume Nikki was pretty dumb and boring in my opinion. No sense of direction or story with the elements of the game making it not scary or weird or whatever its suppose to make it you feel. Just felt mindless.
Ib on the other hand was a real game.

They are both good games but I can see how Yume Nikki would be boring if you dont really like exploring.

well Ib was more about storytelling and horror. Yume Nikki was more about exploration and trying to put together the pieces of her dreams and what they mean. There are an assload of theories on the backstory of the main character, as well as interpreting the ending. It's really hard to call Yume Nikki a game, because as a game itself it's not too great. kind of have to look at it in a different way.
I do admit that Dark Souls did it better with the whole "putting the pieces of the story together" though. I mainly like the very bizzare and dreamy nature of the game.

I need to buy that game during the next Steam Sale.

I dunno when it's going on sale, but i would say it's worth all the money. i dont know if there are as many summons or invasions as the console versions, but i assume its at least higher due to the fact that its the updated re-release.
there are always summons available for Ornstein & Smough, and for good reason. the rest of the bosses depends.
