Indeed, all are welcome here, as long as you are respectful! ^^ [/h][/color] [size=13]There are many paths in life that one can travel, some cause strain, others joy.. some can only be called for what they are, a mystery.. but these, these are the most fun. Your travels have brought you to a strange path. You know not how you got here, nor where you are. Off in the distance you see a forest. Something about it seems to call out to you, beacons you to leave this odd trail you're following, and feeling eased, you find yourself obeying. As your feet take you closer, the trees seem to wrap around you, welcoming you in. A scene opens up before you.. Somehow you feel at peace, and as you walk along, you catch a drift of majesty hanging in the air. [/h] A bit of music to set the mood: Spoiler: [size=15]A Bit About The Haven:[/h] The haven is my personal chat thread, but I hope it will be as much of a home to you as it is to me. It does have some RP elements, for it is based on something I occasionally saw when in the best of moods. Most of the area is forest land, but not all of it. The animals here live in harmony, and there are nature spirits aplenty. There are some things about it I reveal as we go along, but I have left it open for others to be a part of it too. Feel free to discuss spots you might find in this wonderful haven of mine. Want a role you think such a place would have? Just ask. Come just to talk? That's fine too. You are welcome here. Because of it's theme, I will often post inspiring music, and there will be pics a' plenty showing the beauty of both the earth itself, and the imagination of the human mind. I encourage others to follow suit if they wish. We all have our rough days, and I'm okay with that, but as this is a haven, I do have one rule. Be kind to one another here. :) I hope you have fun! [size=15]Areas Revealed:[/h] Spoiler:-The forest has many pools, clearings, groves, and streams -A few mountains poke out of the forest, griffins are rumored to live here in small number. Careful, they aren't as docile as the creatures in the forest below. -An abandoned fishing cabin sits in a clearing somewhere in this forest, they may be others. Something is odd about this cabin.. -On the outskirts of this forest area one might see a quaint village of people. They don't seem to notice the forest we reside in, and are hardworking folk. -A hidden but tranquil beach is found to a certain side of the forest. It is rumored you can encounter people dear to you here, even if they are far away. How this is possible is unknown. -The Wolf Den. Fear not, these wolves aren't hostile unless you press your luck. Let's see.. when I was on yesterday there was. If ever in doubt, I always post the weather both as a reply when I change it as well as edit the OP of this thread. Though you bring up a good point shane, as it's time to change it again.. and with Ryuu bringing in snow, well I think the weather should reflect that yes?

As such, there should be an update here soon.

Yes I know it's cropped poorly, I was tired when I did it. My goal was to show the dress as well cuz I like the red and white, but not so much the hat.. besides there are presents near her feet. I'll prolly play around with it some more and see if I can't get the focus better.

I know, I've been keeping some strange hours lately. Blame lack of sleep and the stress of the day. lol Don't give up, eventually we're bound to be on at the same time!

Hi Melly! Yes indeed. I've been seeing all these avas on F! and it really got me wanting one too. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, and the day decemember came I was already wanting to drink hot cocoa and bundle up in a really plush blanket. It's now a week in and I'm already going.. "ooh.. ooh.. I need to do something seasonal!"

lol, I actually figured you'd say that. It's okay, I see you like the avi you have and it suits you just fine. I know seasonal avas is kinda fad here, and sometimes you just have to break away from it and enjoy what you will.

I didn't change my avi cuz I wanted to do what everyone else was. I did because I saw all these fun holiday images and it got me all excited. ^^

Hmm you make a very good point there Melly.. that's actually pretty clever. Maybe I should start thinking about sets myself. I don't change my avi very often just I am kinda picky about it. I like it to represent me. I guess in some ways I use it more like a sig than just an image, which ironically leaves my sig mostly untouched.

It's cute and the two color eyes reminds of Iris from Rune factory.. who btw, is my favorite character from that game. ^^
