Indeed, all are welcome here, as long as you are respectful! ^^ [/h][/color] [size=13]There are many paths in life that one can travel, some cause strain, others joy.. some can only be called for what they are, a mystery.. but these, these are the most fun. Your travels have brought you to a strange path. You know not how you got here, nor where you are. Off in the distance you see a forest. Something about it seems to call out to you, beacons you to leave this odd trail you're following, and feeling eased, you find yourself obeying. As your feet take you closer, the trees seem to wrap around you, welcoming you in. A scene opens up before you.. Somehow you feel at peace, and as you walk along, you catch a drift of majesty hanging in the air. [/h] A bit of music to set the mood: Spoiler: [size=15]A Bit About The Haven:[/h] The haven is my personal chat thread, but I hope it will be as much of a home to you as it is to me. It does have some RP elements, for it is based on something I occasionally saw when in the best of moods. Most of the area is forest land, but not all of it. The animals here live in harmony, and there are nature spirits aplenty. There are some things about it I reveal as we go along, but I have left it open for others to be a part of it too. Feel free to discuss spots you might find in this wonderful haven of mine. Want a role you think such a place would have? Just ask. Come just to talk? That's fine too. You are welcome here. Because of it's theme, I will often post inspiring music, and there will be pics a' plenty showing the beauty of both the earth itself, and the imagination of the human mind. I encourage others to follow suit if they wish. We all have our rough days, and I'm okay with that, but as this is a haven, I do have one rule. Be kind to one another here. :) I hope you have fun! [size=15]Areas Revealed:[/h] Spoiler:-The forest has many pools, clearings, groves, and streams -A few mountains poke out of the forest, griffins are rumored to live here in small number. Careful, they aren't as docile as the creatures in the forest below. -An abandoned fishing cabin sits in a clearing somewhere in this forest, they may be others. Something is odd about this cabin.. -On the outskirts of this forest area one might see a quaint village of people. They don't seem to notice the forest we reside in, and are hardworking folk. -A hidden but tranquil beach is found to a certain side of the forest. It is rumored you can encounter people dear to you here, even if they are far away. How this is possible is unknown. -The Wolf Den. Fear not, these wolves aren't hostile unless you press your luck. [size=15]Today's Weather In The Haven:[/h] Spoiler:Snow has entered the haven in varying amounts.. don't catch a cold! Let's see.. when I was on yesterday there was. If ever in doubt, I always post the weather both as a reply when I change it as well as edit the OP of this thread. Though you bring up a good point shane, as it's time to change it again.. and with Ryuu bringing in snow, well I think the weather should reflect that yes?

As such, there should be an update here soon.

No asking how I am? After all my loyalty to this haven?

*hugs* There. ^^ Sorry I was replying to a lot of people and if I ask that, it starts to sound like a broken record.. I would be saying it every few lines. lol I hope you've been well though. I am actually gonna be logging for a bit, but I'll be back later. Just wanted to make sure you know I care. ^^

Hey hey everyone! ^^

I've not been on much last week because I had someone over helping me out with some stuff. So of course it was like: errands, more errands.. a little bit of play time.. sleep.. repeat." lol I kept falling asleep while playing even, so maybe I should just call that down time?

Anyways, I now have new internet. I got fed up having to repeatedly fix my landlord's provided net just to get on. It was a mess. Even when the tech I paid for got here, he had to come back with new tools just to fix my landlord's phone cord wiring job. Then on top of that, I'm not running my net on cat 5 like I should to get the speed I need.. but short of getting permission to drill a new jack and pay $120 in labor, this is as good as it will get.

Good news is though once I'm all paid up, my net will be more stable and I won't have to be vanishing offline as often. Not to mention, my net is faster than his was. He stated he had the best speed when I moved here.. turned out it was a 7MB speed. I'm Running close to 30MB now. Clearly he lied eh?

So uh.. *victory pump* Eat that jerk!

lol, anyways I thought it might be neat to ask you all what I should do with my new found speed. (other than F! of course)

speed? speed is awesome, for online games mengsk, online games. No lag=awesomeness.
But in terms of downloads...
the worlds at your fingertips...VNs, animes, games, you'll find 1TB is just too small...

This is one of my favorite holidays. It's so sappy and kind, and has an air of excitement for folks. I mean, cmon.. a holiday about the magic of kindness? How could I NOT like it?! I actually wanted to surprise all of you who come to my thread and support it with a gift of some sort, but since you all live in so many places, shipping would be impossible.

I thought about an e-card, but everyone does that.. I even thought about releasing a sig for this place, but I lack the skill and figured the artists would be busy with holiday plans.

I also thought about writing a nice PM to each with some sort of music, but I didn't want to leave anyone out and wasn't sure who checks their PMs and who doesn't.. especially since I wasn't sure who would be on today. I may still do it, but we'll see.

All the same, I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for your kindness and friendship, and to wish you the best of days today. In the spirit of sharing some holiday cheer, I'll be posting some holiday themed things periodically for the rest of the day, and prolly into the next morning.

I know we all live in different time zones and for some of you christmas day may come and go before mine does, but it shouldn't matter. ;)
